Hi, plz tell me its good for kept beer longer in plastic bottle
@88BeautifulGirls Haven’t tried that yet, but if you have please share some tips! Cheers!
Thanks for the tip about the spigots. I agree that BB costs an arm and a leg, especially for those who have 4-10 BB’s, its just not an option to buy their expensive spigots. Have you ever tried drilling your own port and using a DIY spigot?
It would be great to do a quick 2-3 week beer in this and spend only 1/2 hr to transfer to keg then clean it out and store.
@ryanh02
Double check how you’re attaching the different washers and spigot and make sure you’re following the directions in putting them together in precisely the right order. I had this problem too only to discover I had some rings on the outside that were supposed to be on the inside.
Cheers!
I got a plastic fermentor bucket with a spigot I can’t get it to stop leaking though. I hope I figure it out soon cause I really want to start brewing my own beer!!
@dea136
I’ve been using two 6-gallon Better Bottle plastic carboys with spigots for a few years now and haven’t had a problem with any leaking. I think it all depends on the quality of the type you buy, and it’s very important that they come with teflon washers and rubber gaskets to get a nice tight seal.
I’ve found that fermenters with spigot’s leak, which is why I avoid them.
Thanks, this is a big help, finding the right equipment can be a real pain if you don’t know what you’re doing.
